Jawad Business Group was founded by Hassan Mohamed Jawad,
a Bahraini businessman and enterpreneur, as a small grocery
store and shipping agency.
Since inception, Jawad has implemented a dynamic trading strategy,
realising the need to keep pace with the fast changing requirements
of modern consumers. A significant milestone was reached in
the eighties with further diversification into fast food and
fashion when three Dairy Queen restaurants and a major BhS
store were opened in Bahrain.
To support this progress, in the nineties Jawad has expanded
business interests to other GCC states. Dubai, UAE has the
largest Shoe City in the Gulf, while the world's largest Dairy
Queen is based in Doha, Qatar. Today, Jawad represents over
a hundred internationally renowned companies and brands in
Bahrain and the Gulf. It has proudly demonstrated how a family-owned
enterprise can emerge from humble origins as a shipping agency
to become a widely diversified multinational group, dedicated
to upholding the ideals of quality and trust.
